每周四,7:00pm(东部时间)

(Lily Chen)

美国华人联合会UCA-WAVES(Wellness, Advocacy, Voices, Education, and Support)青年精神健康项目总监,NCCU护理指导老师

Jennifer Tu

Thursdays with NAMINational Alliance on Mental lllnessis our way of building conversations - and building community - around the topic of mental health. Typically our guests are real people who have walked the walk of life with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, and more. Sometimes we feature loved ones and experts as well. All of them have lives that have been impacted by mental illness in a personal way. Join us to hear their stories, insights, good times, and what gets them through their dark days.

This weekly session is open to everyone.

Registration is required so that we can reach out to attendees who ask for assistance during the program. If your information is used, it will be for that purpose and that purpose alone. Your information will not be shared with anyone else, ever.

Thursday at 7pm EST, please join us by registering here :

Violence against Asian Americans have increased dramatically since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

Stop AAPI Hate, a coalition that tracks incidents of violence and harassment against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the U.S. reported nearly 3,800 instances of discrimination against Asians in the past year.

Is mental wellness possible against a backdrop of persecution? Join us for a conversation about solutions and what type of self-care strategies are helpful.

Guests include NCCU Nursing Instructor Lily Chen, who is the Program Director of United Chinese Americans WAVES (Wellness, Advocacy, Voices, Education, and Support) Youth Mental Health Collaborative; and UCA WAVES Coordinator Jennifer Tu, a second-generation Chinese American and student of theology and medicine at Duke.
